Join the Club!
We at Chichester United Wesleyan Church would like to invite you and your child to explore the AWANA Clubs. We are here to serve the Lord through this ministry to your child. It is our purpose to provide your child with character building experiences based on the Bible, which will not only be fun but will enrich their life. Each AWANA night will feature activities, songs, team games, a Bible story and a time set aside for the memorization of Bible verses. Several times a year we will have special celebrations. You will be notified in advance of these special nights, but you are always invited to come and watch. All activities are designed to meet your child's age group. We love your child and appreciate the opportunity you have given Chi United to work with them.

Our Purpose
The purpose of AWANA is to teach the children who attend about God and why they should serve God, we also emphasis the importance of making the right choices as they grow up. We want all children to feel welcomed at AWANA, so they look forward to each meeting and have a great time!

How Should My Child Dress?
All Children should wear their vest or T-Shirt, pants or shorts, plus sneakers because they will be playing games and may be required to crawl, roll, or crab walk across the floor.

What Does My Child Need to Bring to Club?
All Clubbers should bring their Bible each week.

Parents may want to bring a special snack for their child if they have any food allergies because the children get candy prizes every night.

AWANA Store
Clubbers are rewarded AWANA Bucks for weekly achievement that can be used at our AWANA store. Our AWANA store includes a variety of toys, candy, coloring books and some other large prizes. Last year a few digital cameras and MP3 players were purchased by some of the children.

Discipline

What is the "three count”?
In order for us to lovingly and fairly deal with all the children for their benefit, we handle individual misbehavior with the "three count" system. A child who disrupts their club will be warned and counseled two times in a loving manner. On the third offense, the parents will be called.

What is the "five count”?
During any AWANA Club activity the Leader will use the "five count" to quiet the group. It consists of counting to five out loud for all to hear. Immediately, all Clubbers and Leaders will stop whatever they are doing and will be quiet waiting for further instructions.

We will also have Nursery Available for Children less than 3 years old who’s Parent(s) would like to attend one of the other groups that meet on Wednesday Night!

Parents are welcome to visit anytime!
